Jyothika has been breathing movies since childhood as her father Chander Sadanah used to produce films and both her elder sister Nagma and younger sister Roshini aka Radhika have acted in films. The talented leading lady is now married into a film family having father in law Sivakumar, husband Suriya and brother in law Karthi in the top league of heroes.

Now Jyothika's younger brother Suraj Sadanah has started his own film production company Parallel Mind Productions and has coproduced the upcoming 'Thambi' along with Viacom 18. He has shared "The sets had people from Chennai, Mumbai and Kerala. It was an ensemble. Though there were confusions now and then it was good fun and we all enjoyed it. The narration took place in Mumbai and we were convinced. We then took the idea to Karthi who was pretty impressed with the script. After Karthi's nod we thought of bringing Jyotika on board for the project. She agreeing to the project was huge and then a director like Jeethu Joseph who had given a blockbuster like Papanasam was the biggest inclusion in the team. That is how things happened for Thambi.".

Suraj has added about roping in his akka Jyothika and then naming it as Thambi "It wasn't a deliberate move. In fact, we didn't know that Thambi will be the title until we finished the shoot of the film. The film ended with the same intent as it started so the title became apt for the script.".

'Thambi' hits the screens on December 20th with music score by Govind Vasantha and has Karthi, Jyothika, Nikhila Vimal, Anson Paul and Sathyaraj in the cast.
