Ram Charan Birthday Special: Intense ‘Peddi’ Glimpse Released!

Mega Power Star Ram Charan celebrates his 41st birthday today. To mark the occasion, the film crew has surprised fans by releasing an exclusive glimpse video of his 16th film (RC16), titled ‘Peddi’.

In this video, Ram Charan appears in a fierce ‘Pehlwan’ (wrestler) avatar, sporting a massive physical transformation. The 45-second glimpse is set against the backdrop of a wrestling pit (Akhara) and features high-octane, intense action sequences.

“Wrestling is not a game like hitting a ball with a bat; it is a sport where you face death.”

This powerful dialogue has sent expectations for the film soaring.

The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana of ‘Uppena’ fame. Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is composing the music, while renowned cinematographer R. Rathnavelu is handling the visuals. Editing is managed by Naveen Nooli. The project is being produced on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers, Vriddhi Cinemas, and Sukumar Writings.

While Global Star Ram Charan plays the lead role, Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor stars opposite him as a character named ‘Achiyamma.’ The cast also includes Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu as a formidable villain, and Bollywood actor Divyenndu in key roles. Furthermore, Boman Irani and several other leading stars have joined the film.

This is a rural-themed sports action drama. It is expected that Ram Charan might portray two different dimensions—as both a wrestler and a cricketer. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 30, 2026. Following the success of RRR, the collaboration of Ram Charan with A.R. Rahman’s music is being viewed as the film’s biggest strength.
