Even after his passing, the “Paadum Nila” (Singing Moon) S.P. Balasubrahmanyam continues to live in the hearts of millions of fans through his voice. In a grand tribute, a majestic statue of the legendary singer has been erected in Palakkad, Kerala. An official invitation has been extended to Superstar Rajinikanth to participate in this prestigious event.
A 10-foot tall, full-body bronze statue of SPB has been installed at the V.T. Bhattathiripad Cultural Complex in Palakkad district, Kerala. This initiative was undertaken by ‘SAMAM’ (Singers Association of Malayalam Movies) in collaboration with the Palakkad Swaralaya organization. Renowned sculptor Unni Kanayi has meticulously designed the statue with great detail.

To invite him as the chief guest for the inauguration ceremony, singer Vijay Yesudas personally met actor Rajinikanth at his residence and handed over the invitation.
Following the statue unveiling, a grand musical event titled “SAMAM Sangeetha Megham” is scheduled to take place. The singers’ association has requested Rajinikanth to grace this event with his presence as well. Fans are eagerly anticipating that Rajinikanth will attend this tribute to his close friend, SPB.

While a statue of SPB has already been unveiled in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, the installation of a statue in Kerala is another crown jewel in his legacy. This event is expected to be a monumental occasion that unites music lovers across linguistic boundaries.
“SPB is not just a singer; he is an emotion. Unveiling his statue is a humble tribute we offer to him,” stated the members of the SAMAM organization.
