Glamour is not the monopoly of young actresses and veterans are proving that time and again. The latest to do so is famous 80s actress Shanti Priya who at the age of 53 looks gorgeous in various modern costumes.

Shanti the younger sister of another popular actress Bhanupriya made her debut in Tamil with 'Enga Ooru Patukaaran' starring Ramarajan. She was given the screen name Nishanthi by director Gangai Amaran and she was credited thus most of her Tamil films.

After finding success in Tamil she then moved on Telugu films and acted with top stars of the time in several movies. She was cast as Akshay Kumar's pair in 'Saugandh' released in 1991 after which she featured in many Hindi films as well.

On the personal front Shanthi Priya fell in love with actor Siddharth Ray and got married in 1999. The couple have two sons. Unfortunately Siddharth Ray passed away due to a heart attack in 2004 after just five years of marriage. Shanthi Priya lives in Mumbai and often visits her family in Chennai.
