'Uppena' is all set to hit the screens on February 12. Pawan Kalyan's elder sister's son, Vaisshnav Tej, is its lead man. So, the 'Vakeel Saab' actor has supported the movie by commenting about it in a positive light.
"People always like to watch movies that tell stories inspired by situations around us," the actor-politician today said after watching the trailer of 'Uppena'. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the emotional romantic drama is directed by debutant Buchi Babu Sana.
Power Star said that Vaisshnav Tej has chosen a good character to debut with. "He has taken up a challenge with his very first attempt. In 'Johnny', he played a child artist as the childhood version of the lead man. Such a child is now a hero himself," Pawan added.
"The shelf-life of films like 'Uppena' is always long. We have seen movies like 'Dangal' and 'Rangasthalam'. I think 'Uppena' belongs to the same league," Pawan said.
The film has Vijay Sethupathi playing Krithi Shetty's father. Its music is by Devi Sri Prasad.
