‘Vaa Vaathiyaar’ Joins the Pongal Race: Double Delight for Karthi Fans!

Actor Karthi’s upcoming film ‘Vaa Vaathiyaar’, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum fame, is finally set to hit screens as a Pongal release after overcoming several hurdles.

Produced by Gnanavel Raja under the Studio Green banner, the film has been in production for the past two years. Several release dates were previously considered, including December 5, December 12, and December 24 (coinciding with M.G.R.’s memorial day). However, the release was temporarily postponed due to financial legal cases faced by the production house.

The film ‘Jana Nayagan’, which was originally scheduled for a Pongal release, has been pushed back. Seizing this opportunity, other producers have been eager to fill the gap. With the financial issues now amicably resolved, it has been officially announced that Vaa Vaathiyaar will release on January 14 (Pongal day).

Additionally, actor Jiiva’s film ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil’ is also scheduled for a Pongal release on January 15.

Star Cast: Karthi stars alongside Krithi Shetty, Sathyaraj, and Rajkiran in pivotal roles.Music: The film features a soundtrack by Santhosh Narayanan and is expected to be a complete commercial entertainer.Plot: Karthi plays the role of a die-hard M.G.R. fan in what is described as a fantasy-comedy storyline.
