Actor Vinay Rai who made his debut in Tamil in the late Jeeva's directorial 'Unnale Unnale' gained a huge female fan following who loved his chocolate boy looks. He starred in a few hit movies such as 'Jeyam Kondan' and 'Endrendrum Punnagai' after which there was a brief lull.

In 2017, Mysskin rediscovered Vinay as a ruthless villain in 'Thupparivalan' starring Vishal and Prasanna. The success of his role prompted him to sign 'Doctor' with Sivakarthikeyan and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' opposite Suriya that showed him in out and out negative shades. His upcoming movie is 'Oh My Dog' produced by Suriya and starring Arun Vijay and his son Arnav in the lead roles.

Meanwhile on the personal front Vinay has been going strong with actress Vimala Raman for the past few years. The lovebirds have shared a lot of pics of them enjoying vacays in various destinations including the Maldives on their respective social media pages.

Now the hot news is that Vinay and Vimala have planned to tie the knot soon and will be announcing the date shortly. The Australian born Vimala Raman was introduced to the screen by legendary director K. Balachander in his 100th film 'Poi' produced by Prakash Raj.

Vimala Raman later played a prominent role in Cheran's 'Raman Thediya Seethai apart from several films in all South Indian languages. She was last seen in Sundar C's 'Iruttu' and is currently starring in an important role in 'Grandma' a Malayalam/Tamil bilingual that also has Sshvidha Shivadass, Sonia Agarwal, Hemanth Menon, and Maala Parvathi.
