Sivakarthikeyan who is racing towards the top of Kollywood apart from his box office successes is known for his philanthropic activities especially towards the education of the underprivileged.

Devasankari, a 12th class student, wanted to study a nursing course but could not because of the poverty in her family.  She had apparently discontinued her studies and instead started working in the family puncture shop.  Her story came up in Vikatan and on seeing it Sivakarthikeyan had sent his representative to talk to the girl.

Devasankari had expressed her wishes to pursue nursing studies and Sivakarthikeyan had footed the entire bill for her three years course.   He had also ensured that the entire family got new clothes for Pongal and they have expresed their to them.  Devasankari has also stated that like the generous hero she too would help others in the future.

Not only Sivakarthikeyan fans but also netizens have lauded his gesture and are praising him as the golden-hearted 'Don' in real life too.
