Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming film, "Tiger 3," has become the talk of the town. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, this action-packed extravaganza is all set to light up the Diwali festivities with its release on November 12, 2023. The film is the latest installment in the YRF Spy Universe franchise, following the events of "Tiger Zinda Hai" (2017), "War" (2019), and "Pathaan" (2023), and features Emraan Hashmi in the role of the antagonist.
The film's promotions have sent a thrill down the spines of fans, particularly the towel fight scene, featuring the sizzling duo of Katrina Kaif and Michelle Lee. Already, Michelle Lee has expressed her excitement to the press about the film.
Katrina, who portrays Zoya in the action-packed movie, shared her thoughts on the challenging sequence: "It was a difficult sequence to shoot because it involved hand-to-hand combat inside a steamy hammam. The steam made gripping, fending, and landing punches and kicks a real challenge. I don't think there has been a fight sequence like this featuring two women on screen in India." Katrina added, "I love taking on risky action sequences, and this franchise has always allowed me to push the boundaries. In 'Zoya,' the audience will witness a woman who can fight on par with a man."
Regarding the viral towel fight sequence, Katrina added, "I'm aware that the towel fight sequence at the Hammam from 'Tiger 3' has gone viral. It was a very, very difficult sequence to shoot because it has incredible hand-to-hand fighting inside a steamy Hammam room, so gripping, fending, landing punches and kicks – everything was very difficult. Hats off to Adi for thinking of this brilliant scene because I don't think there has been a fight sequence like this featuring two women on screen in India. The way Maneesh and the action team executed it was just incredible - everything was detailed out to a T. So, it was a total team effort which people are loving."
Michelle Lee, on the other hand, showered praise on her co-star, Katrina Kaif, saying, "I'm not surprised. I thought it was pretty epic when we were shooting it. We learned and practiced the fight for a couple of weeks before shooting it. The set design was gorgeous, and the fight was enjoyable to perform. It was a wonderful experience working on an international film."
Michelle Lee also commended Katrina for her grace and professionalism, highlighting the smooth collaboration between them. She mentioned, "Katrina was as graceful and professional as can be. She worked very hard on getting the movements precise and ensuring that all the motions flowed seamlessly. It was evident that she had experience in choreography, making it super easy to collaborate with her. We put in a lot of effort and worked up a sweat."
Managing the towels wrapped around their bodies proved to be the primary challenge during the hammam sequence. Michelle explained, "One of the main challenges was the wardrobe! Our towels needed to stay in the proper place, and with so much movement and fight choreography, it was a challenge. We ended up having the towels sewn closed at certain points, and that helped a lot." She also mentioned, "Another challenge was striking each other at the perfect distance to create the appearance of danger and strength, yet ensuring it was far enough not to cause harm. Can you imagine if I hit her?! But I'm a professional, so things went smoothly. Neither of us got hurt, so we just had to make it work for the camera."
Movie enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating "Tiger 3" to witness not only Salman Khan's breathtaking stunts but also the scintillating towel fight between Katrina and Michelle Lee on the big screen.
