The acting powerhouse, Dhanush's milestone 50th film is gearing up to hit the cinemas this year. Titled 'Raayan', it is said to be a gangster revenge drama set in North Madras. A recent buzz suggests that this highly anticipated project is set to have a Pan-Indian release on June 7th.

We also hear that the teaser of 'Raayan' will be launched on April 14, the Tamil New Year. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard. This film has a plethora of stars comprising Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Saravanan and many others.

Dhanush is directing this biggie himself. The film has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography handled by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK. Kalanithi Maran produces 'Raayan' under his banner Sun Pictures. The movie was shot mostly in Chennai and the filming was wrapped up by December 2023.
