Thiagarajan Kumararaja Teams Up with Vijay Sethupathi Again for New Film: Shooting to Begin in February!

Director Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s 2019 film Super Deluxe, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, and others, was a critical blockbuster. The movie earned widespread acclaim, with Vijay Sethupathi even winning the National Award for Best Supporting Actor. Since then, Thiagarajan Kumararaja has not directed any film.

Now, the acclaimed director is gearing up for his next project, and talks are underway to rope in Vijay Sethupathi once again as the lead. Fahadh Faasil is also expected to play a key role in the film.

Industry sources reveal that details, including the producer, will be finalized within the next 10 days.

The team has planned to commence shooting in February 2026. Thiagarajan Kumararaja has crafted the screenplay to allow for continuous shooting in a single schedule, making this potentially his fastest-completed film to date.
