Bigg Boss Julie to Tie the Knot on Jallikattu Day: Wedding Date Confirmed!

Julie (Maria Juliana), who rose to fame by raising her voice alongside thousands at Chennai’s Marina Beach during the 2017 Jallikattu protests, is all set to enter a new phase of life. Working as a nurse at the time, her powerful slogans during the protest went viral overnight on social media, paving the way for her entry as a contestant in the first season of Vijay TV’s Bigg Boss Tamil.

Gaining even more popularity through Bigg Boss, Julie went on to stay busy with advertisements, film opportunities, and even starred as a heroine in one movie. Currently, several of her films are gearing up for release.

In this backdrop, earlier this month, Julie announced on her social media that her engagement had taken place. She revealed that she would marry her boyfriend, Mohammed Ikreem, and promised to share the wedding date soon.

Now, the wedding date has been finalized. The ceremony is scheduled for the evening of January 16, 2026 (Friday) at St. Patrick’s Church in Parangimalai, Chennai. The reception will follow the same night after 7 PM at a private school in the same area.

Reports indicate that invitation cards have begun circulating among close friends and family circles.

Notably, in Tamil Nadu, Jallikattu events typically take place in the days following Pongal celebrations, often around Mattu Pongal. For Julie, who shot to fame through the Jallikattu movement, having her wedding during this special season has brought joy to her fans.
