Tollywood actors are nowadays on a remakes spree. The bug has long smitten Naga Chaitanya, who has already remade two films, one each from Tamil and Malayalam – Tadakha and the yet-to-be-released Premam. He is reportedly on his way to remake yet another film.
According to some reports in Tamil Nadu, Chai has evinced interest in remaking Metro, the action film focusing on the menace of chain snatching. If everything goes well, Ananda Krishnan, who directed the original, will direct this film. If it's the original's maker who will wield the megaphone, it may turn out that the element of chain snatching won't be tinkered with.
This film is likely to be the one after Chai's film with Kalyan Krishna of Soggade Chinni Nayana fame – a film to be produced by Nagarjuna.
An official announcement about Metro's remake is awaited.
