The makers of Raakaasa have officially announced that the film will release in theatres worldwide on April 3, 2026. Presented by Z Studios and produced under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures, the film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma”, with Niharika Konidela” and Umesh Kumar Bansal” serving as producers.
The release date announcement marks a key milestone for the project, which has now completed its entire shoot and entered the final stages of post-production. With principal photography fully wrapped, the team is currently focused on editing, background score, sound design, and visual finishing, aligning all aspects toward its planned theatrical rollout on April 3, 2026.
The release date was unveiled alongside a brand-new poster that reflects the film’s imaginative tone and genre positioning. Earlier, the teaser—released on YouTube—offered the first glimpse into the world of Raakaasa. Rather than revealing plot details, the teaser established the film’s tonal space, blending humour, fantasy elements, and moments of tension, clearly positioning it as a big-screen theatrical experience.
Since its announcement, Raakaasa has generated steady interest within the Telugu film fraternity, driven by its unique genre blend and a measured, gradual promotional strategy. The makers opted for selective updates instead of aggressive promotions, allowing anticipation to build organically. The film stars Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles.
