The popularity of Prabhas in Japan continues to scale new heights. The pan-Indian star has now achieved a rare milestone by featuring solo on the back cover of Japan’s iconic lifestyle magazine Anan, reaffirming his strong cultural and fan connect in the country.
Prabhas appears on the back cover of Anan Issue No. 2483, scheduled for release on February 10. With this, he becomes the first Indian actor to receive an exclusive solo feature on the magazine. Previously, Ram Charan and N. T. Rama Rao Jr. appeared together on the cover in 2023 following the international success of RRR, making Prabhas’s solo presence a notable first.
The magazine labels the feature as a “royal audience gravure” under its Irresistible Feelings theme, a description that reflects Prabhas’s commanding appeal and sustained popularity among Japanese audiences. His fanbase in Japan began expanding significantly after the local release of Baahubali: The Beginning”, which turned him into a recognisable star in the region.
The cover shoot was completed during Prabhas’s visit to Tokyo” in December 2025, when he travelled to Japan for film promotions and fan interactions. His consistent engagement with Japanese fans has played a key role in maintaining his visibility and appeal in the market.
On the work front, Prabhas is currently filming Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji, while also headlining Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. He is also expected to begin work soon on Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2.
