Veteran actor Venu Arvind one of the leading television actors for several decades was said to be in a critical stage after reportedly slipping into a coma at the Apollo hospitals in Chennai.  It is said that a few weeks back he tested positive for COVID 19 and contracted pneumonia but recuperated.  Later the doctors found a brain tumor and operated on it when he lost his consciousness. 

Now several sources from the television industry have clarified the exact condition of the actor.  Actress Radhika Sarathkumar who has worked with him in several series has posted "It’s very sad that the media falsely say that #VenuArvind is in a coma, have been closely following his health with his wife, he was not well, now he is stabilised, a wonderful person, please pray he comes home soon ,sound and healthy.Stop wrong news"  

Venu Arvind has starred in a number of television serials including  'Kadhal Pagadai' (1997), 'Kasalavu Nesam' (1999), 'Selvi' (2005-2009) and 'Chandrakumari' (2019). His most famous character is Bhoominathan in the super hit serial 'Vani Rani' (2013-2018) starring Radhika Sarathkumar which won him universal praise. 

Venu Arvind has also acted in a few films such as Sivaji Ganesan's 'Padikaatha Pannaiyar',  Kamal Haasan's 'Andha Oru Nimidam', Mani Ratnam's 'Pagal Nilavu', Madhavan's 'Ennavale' and Simbu's 'Vallavan.   The Tamil film and television industry members have posted get well soon and prayer messages on social media for the speedy recovery of the talented actor.
