Niharika Konidela Explains the Idea Behind 'Rākāsā' Song 'Padhe Padhe'

The makers of Rākāsā unveiled the film’s second single, “Padhe Padhe,” at a lively on-ground launch event held at St. Peter’s Engineering College in Hyderabad. Producer Niharika Konidela, lead actors Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika, along with music composer Anudeep Dev, attended the event and introduced the romantic track to an enthusiastic crowd.

Speaking about the concept behind the song, Niharika Konidela said that Padhe Padhe presents love from a refreshing perspective. “In most songs, women beg for love, but in this song we become love. We don’t beg for love — we become love,” she explained. She also described Rākāsā as a wholesome family entertainer that blends fantasy, adventure, comedy, and strong performances.

Composer Anudeep Dev praised the energetic audience and spoke about the idea behind the track. He said that while the first single “Rapappa” had a playful tone aimed at boys, Padhe Padhe explores the female perspective in love. “It’s a beautiful song that reflects a girl’s point of view. If someone isn’t getting the hints, girls can simply play this song,” he said.

Actress Nayan Sarika shared that the song instantly connected with her. “When I first heard Padhe Padhe, I kept it on loop. Girls often find it difficult when boys fail to understand their hints, and this song speaks exactly about that,” she said while thanking the audience for their support.

Actor Sangeeth Sobhan recalled how director Manasa Sharma narrated the story to him after the success of MAD Square. When he asked about the film’s unique aspect, she reportedly told him that he himself was the USP of the project. With his trademark humour, the actor added that audiences can expect plenty of comedy from the film.

Musically, Padhe Padhe brings a soft romantic flavour to the film’s soundtrack. The melody is sung by Sindhuja Srinivasan, composed by Anudeep Dev, and written by lyricist Kittu Vissapragada, capturing the subtle emotions between the lead characters.

The film’s promotional material has been receiving encouraging response online. The title glimpse has crossed 1.9 million views, the teaser has surpassed 2.8 million views, and the first single Rapappa has crossed 1.1 million views on YouTube.

Rākāsā stars Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles, with Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu in key supporting roles. The film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma, known for Oka Chinna Family Story and Bench Life.

Produced by Niharika Konidela under the banner Pink Elephant Pictures in collaboration with Zee Studios, the film features cinematography by Raju Edurolu, editing by Anwar Ali, and music by Anudeep Dev. The songs are being released under the Saregama label.

Apart from its domestic release, Rākāsā is also gearing up for a wide overseas rollout across more than 350 international screens through Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, with Prathyangira Cinemas handling North American distribution.

With its promotional campaign gaining momentum and music receiving positive response, Rākāsā is all set for its worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026.
