A young man from Kurnool district has been arrested for making inappropriate and offensive comments on social media about Mark Shankar, the younger son of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Guntur SP Satish Kumar revealed that the accused, Raghu alias Pushparaj, was taken into custody after a complaint was filed by a man named Sambasiva Rao from Prattipadu. The incident stemmed from online clashes between fan groups of film actors.
During the investigation, police found that Raghu had used five mobile phones and created accounts on the social media platform ‘X’ using 14 different email IDs. His posts were found to be highly objectionable, particularly targeting women.
The SP confirmed that cases have been filed under multiple legal sections, including those related to offensive content against women and inciting tensions between communities. The police take the issue seriously and urge people to act responsibly on social media platforms.
