Will Soori Play a Villain? The Actor Shares His Thoughts

Actor Soori, known for his remarkable transition from comedian to lead hero in Tamil cinema, has expressed his openness to exploring villainous roles in the future. The actor, whose recent films like Viduthalai, Viduthalai 2, Garudan, Kottukkaali, and the latest Maaman have been well-received, continues to make headlines with his evolving career choices.

Speaking to reporters in Nellai during a promotional event, Soori responded to speculations that he may no longer take on comedy roles. He said, “Audiences are celebrating Maaman, and I’m thrilled that families are enjoying it. My next film will also be a family-oriented action entertainer.”

He added with gratitude, “You’ve made me a successful hero today. I’m happy to be the ‘Suriya’ you all love, and I will always be one among you.”

When asked if he would consider playing a villain, Soori responded with enthusiasm: “I haven’t had the chance to play a villain yet, but if such an opportunity comes, I would definitely take it.”

This statement has sparked curiosity among fans, raising expectations that the beloved comedian-turned-hero might soon surprise audiences with a powerful antagonist role.
