With the much-awaited film Maaman set to hit theatres next Friday, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi shared her thoughts at a recent promotional event. The film stars her alongside actor Soori, and she revealed that many had questioned her decision to act with him.
“People kept asking me, ‘Are you okay acting with Soori?’ I was surprised. I didn’t even understand why that question was being asked,” Aishwarya said.
She went on to explain her admiration for Soori:
“I’m truly happy and proud to act with someone like Soori. Today, if you compare him with any superstar, he stands tall among them. He’s an incredibly genuine and kind person. There’s honesty in every word he speaks and love in everything he does.”
Expressing her gratitude, she added,
“I feel blessed to have been given the chance to work with him. Thank you to the team of Maaman for this opportunity.”
A video clip of her heartfelt speech has since gone viral, earning praise from fans for her sincerity and respect towards her co-star.
