Superstar Rajinikanth is currently filming the much-anticipated sequel Jailer 2, directed by Nelson with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The shoot is actively progressing in Kerala, particularly in the Kozhikode region.
During the shoot, Kerala State Public Works Minister Mohammed Riyas made a surprise visit to the set and met Rajinikanth in person. The meeting sparked excitement, and the minister soon shared photos from the interaction on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. These images have since gone viral, drawing attention from fans and political circles alike.
Rajinikanth is known for meeting local dignitaries and politicians during his out-of-state film shoots, and this Kerala visit continues that tradition.
Jailer 2 features a star-studded cast including S. J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirna Menon, and others in key roles. Additionally, Balakrishna, Mohanlal, and Shivarajkumar are expected to appear in special roles.
Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is slated for release later this year and has already generated major buzz among fans and the industry.
