Vijayashanthi refutes party change rumours

It has been believed in political circles that Vijayashanthi will embrace the BJP soon.  The speculation gained strength after the former female lead of Telugu cinema supported Narendra Modi over the annulment of Article 370.

In the wake of the unverified reports, Vijayashanthi has said that she won’t be joining the saffron party.  The senior politician suggested that she will stay with the Congress party.

As things stand, Congress is a sinking ship in Telangana.  On the other hand, BJP is a rising force.  With the saffron party attracting leaders from anti-TRS parties in its fold, Vijayashanthi was expected to play ball.

On the film front, she is doing a professor’s role in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’.
