Actor Vijay has made a significant decision regarding the distribution rights of his upcoming film ‘Jananaayagan’. While his portions for the film have already been completed, a few scenes featuring other actors are still under production. Scheduled for release on January 8 next year, the movie is produced by KVN Productions. Amazon Prime has acquired the OTT rights and Sun TV has secured the satellite rights.
The production team has now moved towards selling the theatrical distribution rights. Vijay has reportedly insisted that companies with political affiliations should not be allowed to acquire these rights. As a result of this decision, Romeo Pictures, a frontrunner for the Tamil Nadu rights, has stepped back.
Currently, it is said that Lalit Kumar might be given the Tamil Nadu rights. If not, the team is also considering producer Thanu. This rule will extend not only to Tamil Nadu but also to distribution rights in other states.
‘Jananaayagan’ is directed by H. Vinoth and stars Vijay, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Gautham Menon, and Priyamani. Sathyan Sooryan is handling the cinematography, and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. This film is expected to be Vijay’s final acting project, which has raised high expectations among fans.
