Following the successful re-release of Gilli, which performed remarkably well at the box office, two more fan-favorite films of Thalapathy Vijay are reportedly gearing up for a theatrical comeback.
According to sources, Vijay’s blockbuster films Kushi and Sivakasi are next in line for re-release. The trend of re-releasing classic hits has gained momentum in recent years, and Vijay’s films have consistently drawn enthusiastic crowds.
Kushi, directed by S. J. Suryah and co-starring Jyothika, originally hit screens in 2000 and was a major success. Sivakasi, directed by Perarasu and featuring Asin alongside Vijay, released in 2005 and also emerged as a commercial hit. Both films were produced by A. M. Ratnam, who also backed the recent re-release of Gilli.
With official announcements expected soon, fans are eager to see if Kushi and Sivakasi can recreate the same magic on the big screen once again.
