As Thuglife, starring global icon Kamal Haasan, gears up for its worldwide release tomorrow, the actor addressed the media today—but it wasn’t just about the film. In a statement that sparked curiosity, Kamal said, “There are many things to talk about. It’s not about Thuglife—we will talk about that later.”
While he refrained from elaborating on those “other things,” Kamal spoke with pride about the film and its team. Praising the crew, he remarked, “This is a team full of soldiers—each one came prepared.” He also shared his joy in collaborating with director Mani Ratnam, saying, “Many technicians have given their all to this film. I was truly happy to work with Mani Ratnam.”
Expressing gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu, Kamal added, “Now I fully understand the depth of the phrase ‘Uyire Urave Thamizhe’.”
Reiterating his earlier statement, he concluded, “There’s much more to be said, but not now—not about Thuglife. I will speak at the right time. As a Tamilian, it is my responsibility to address those matters.”
Following the film’s release, Kamal Haasan is expected to open up about these undisclosed issues, prompting speculation on what he might reveal.
