Actor Simbu had last acted in Sundar C directed Vandha Rajavathaan Varuven, which was released earlier this year, and the actor who is coming back from his Thailand vacation is expected to resume shooting of his movie with Gautham Karthik and also start Maghaamaanaadu.

Director Pandiraj, who had directed Simbu in the romantic entertainer Idhu Namma Aalu, also starring Nayanthara, had recently opened up on his friendship with Simbu. When questioned on his friendship with the actor, Pandiraj said that they are good friends even now, and even spoke before few days.

Pandiraj revealed that Simbu had told him of seeing Kadaikutty Singam recently, and that he cried heavily during the climax episode, and said Pandiraj that he wished to be part of such a family. Pandiraj had reportedly promised Simbu to make a family entertainer like Kadaikutty Singam with him, and added that his only disappointment with Simbu is that he is not in the place he deserves to be.
