Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar are all set to lock horns after nine years on this Pongal with the family entertainer 'Varisu' and the heist thriller 'Thunivu', respectively. Vijay fans have been waiting for the trailer of 'Varisu', directed by Vamshi Paidiapally, since last month.

We already informed you that the Varisu trailer will be released on January 4 after the censor process. Now, the team has officially announced the countdown for the Varisu trailer and unveiled the censor details with a stunning poster. The much-awaited movie's trailer will be unleashed tomorrow (Jan 4) at 5 PM and it has got a clean 'U' certificate from the CBFC.

The latest poster features a stylish image of Vijay getting down from the helicopter and it comes with a 'U' stamp, denoting the censor certificate. The makers wrote, "#VaaThalaivaa it’s time for #VarisuTrailer Releasing Tomorrow at 5 PM on @SunTV YouTube channel See ‘U’ soon nanba #VarisuGetsCleanU" (sic). As per the sources, the film's final runtime is 2 hours and 49 minutes (169 minutes).

Rashmika Mandanna is paired with Vijay for the first time in Varisu while Prakash Raj plays the villain opposite him after 14 years. The movie also stars Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, SJ Suryah, Ganesh Venkatraman, Khushbhu, Jaysudha, Sangeetha, Samyuktha and others. Varisu is coming to cinemas on January 12th.
