Three films namely Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam', Vikram's 'Sketch' and Prabhu Deva's 'Gulaebhagavali' released as a festive treat this Pongal. Here is their opening weekend box office report. 

Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Koottam'

The film was screened in 21 theatres in Chennai with 390 shows. The film has also reaped in a massive Rs.2,28, 32,206 in profits and saw a crowd presence of 95% in theatres as well. The film is also expected to bank on the Pongal holidays becoming one of Suriya’s highest grossers. 

Vikram's 'Sketch'

This film released in 22 theatres with 316 shows and also has seen a crowd presence of 85%. The film has reaped in a total of Rs.1,29,68,072 at the box office which is considered to be pretty good. 

Prabhu Deva's 'Gulaebhagavali'

This film is Prabhu Deva's outing after 'Devi'. The film which is touted to be humour centric has been screened at 13 theatres with 162 shows that saw an audience presence of 85 %. The film has reaped in Rs.41,33,367 as profits until now.
