Telangana: 7,646 fresh cases logged

Telangana on April 29 (till 8 PM) registered as many as 7,646 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours. This is some 300-odd cases less than what was witnessed in the previous 24-hour period.

GHMC logged as many as 1,441 cases, while Medchal Malkajgiri saw 631 cases. Rangareddy and Sangareddy saw 484 and 401 cases, respectively. 

Recoveries increased sharply, with as many as 5,926 individuals recovering. There were 53 deaths in total. 

The State has got a little more than 77,700 active cases at present.

Nearly 80% of the cases in the State are asymptomatic. In a recent interview, Health Minister Eatala Rajender said that it’s essential not to create artificial shortages of beds, etc. He acknowledged that there is a shortage of beds in the State.
