Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ Moves Into Dubbing Phase as Summer Hype Intensifies

With its summer release locked in, Peddi has shifted into high promotional gear, and the momentum continues to build. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkat Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the pan-India project is shaping up as one of the season’s most anticipated theatrical events.

The film’s early promotional assets have already created measurable impact. Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman scored the film’s first-shot glimpse and the debut single “Chikiri Chikiri,” both of which generated strong digital traction and chart performance. The track’s reception has significantly amplified pre-release visibility across platforms.

The second single, “Rai Rai Raara,” is scheduled for release on March 2, further strengthening the film’s music-led marketing strategy.

Ram Charan has now commenced dubbing for his titular role, Peddi. A short behind-the-scenes clip from the dubbing studio has gone viral, not just for the performance preview but for Charan’s lighthearted exchange with director Buchi Babu Sana.

Referring to the vocal performance in “Chikiri Chikiri,” Charan jokingly remarked that the expressive sync made it difficult to tell whether singer Mohit Chauhan sang the track or if the director himself had performed it. He humorously added that he hoped the same level of “acting” wouldn’t be demanded during dubbing—before affirming that he delivered his own lines.

The candid interaction underscores the creative synergy within the team and has further fueled fan engagement online.

Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside a powerful supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani.

On the technical front, the film boasts cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, editing by National Award winner Navin Nooli, and production design by Avinash Kolla. The scale and crew composition signal a visually ambitious production.

Peddi is set for a worldwide theatrical release on April 30. With music already driving anticipation and promotional materials striking a chord with audiences, the film appears positioned for a strong summer opening.
