Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput had reportedly googled a number of terms pertaining to death, mental illness, as well his own name and his former manager Disha Salian's name, who also died by suicide less than a week before Sushant.
The Mumbai police have revealed that Sushant had googled the words "schizophrenia," "bipolar disorder" and "painless death" just hours before his death. The police also mentioned that he had searched his own name and Disha Salian's name in the last few hours. He had apparently met Disha only once, but was disturbed and upset over news of her suicide. "When he saw his name being linked with Disha Salian's death on social media, he was emotionally disturbed. He had met her only once and he had even asked his advocate who she was," the police mentioned. Recently, Sushant's psychiatrist had opened up to a journalist that the actor was suffering from bipolar disorder. Regarding the psychiatrist's claim, the official added, "It has come to surface that he had bipolar disorder, he was undergoing treatment and taking medicines for it. What circumstances led to his death is the subject of our investigation. All angles are being investigated, be it professional rivalry, financial transactions or health. We have taken his laptop and phone as technical evidence, we will look into everything."
Sushant's father KK Singh recently accused the actor's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of abetting his suicide. Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered against Rhea under sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide in Mumbai on June 14.
