AVM Productions is one of the oldest studios in Indian cinema having made more than 170 films in major Indian languages with the biggest stars. For the past few years they have stayed away from producing films but have now decided to make a comeback.
It is reported in Kollywood circles that AVM's first project after their hiatus is set to star Suriya and directed by Hari. In addition, it is stated that the title under consideration is 'Yaanai' and will be a mass action entertainer. This will be the third collaboration between the production house and Suriya after 2004's 'Perazhagan' and the 2007 blockbuster hit 'Ayan' directed by K.V. Anand. Official confirmation is awaited on this one.
Update : Official spokesperson for Suriya has stated that the news is baseless and as of now there are no talks on in this regard.
