Suriya and Jyothika the power couple of Kollywood are married since 2006 and have a daughter Diya and son Dev born in 2007 and 2010 respectively. Diya recently completed her tenth standard and made her parents proud by securing high marks in the public exams.

Suriya and Jyothika are planning to send Diya abroad for her higher education and recently were in the UK in this connection. Meanwhile Diya in her first ever video interview has shared about her inspiration and passion that has gone viral on the internet. She has stated that it is her mother Jyothika who is her number one inspiration especially in her following her dreams and achieving them and also selecting female centric films in her comeback.

Diya has shared that she has a passion for cricket after watching her father, uncle Karthi and brother Dev playing. In cricket she says is inspired by top Indian female cricketers such as Jemima Rodrigues, Shefali Varma, Smriti Mandana and others.

Diya is also not shy to take rapid fire questions and she has revealed that she is a bathroom singer and yes she has kissed her pets but never licked them and has even hidden a chocolate under her pillow. The energetic teen has revealed that if she is to write a two letter note to her twenty year old self she would just go with the highly inspiring "Do It". Suriya meanwhile fresh from the unprecendented response he got for his cameo role in 'Vikram' is currently acting in 'Vanangaan' directed by Bala.
