Wow! STR bags the lead role in Mani Ratnam’s next

In what may be called as the biggest surprise of the year actor Silambarasan has signed up to play the lead role in ace director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer. Though the official announcement is yet to be made a source close to the actor has confirmed that STR will be playing the lead role in Mani’s next which will have Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh as female leads. Vijay Sethupathi,  is also expected to act in the film.

STR has faced one of the biggest debacles in his career with ‘AAA’which was panned by critics and bombed at the box office. A film with the world renowned filmmaker like Mani Ratnam at this juncture cannot come at a better juncture for him. 

The die-hard fans of the actor are elated and excited ever since the news came out and they are celebrating it in social media. We can be assured that we are going to see a very different STR in the film like how we saw in Gautham Menon’s ‘Vinnai Thandi Varuvaaya’. 

This will be the actor’s third film with Jyothika after ‘Manmadhan’ and ‘Saravana’.
