Ravi Kiran, a resident of a basthi in Hyderabad's Ameerpet, was recently interrogated by the police on the basis of a complaint lodged by comedian Srinivas Reddy. His crime? The youngster assumed Srinivas' identity on Facebook and chatted with the gullible.

As per the comedian's complaint, Ravi Kiran opened a fake Facebook account and invited story ideas from everyone. He initiated private conversations with some folks, who fell for his cheating. They thought they were discussing their stories with Srinivas. The aspiring writers and directors hoped that they would get a call from him and receive their first break in the industry.

When the fake identity assumed by the youngster came to his notice, Srinivas Reddy immediately approached the Cyber Crime police. "Such activities will damage my credibility in the film industry," he said in the complaint.

After questioning Ravi Kiran, they counselled him. The youngster has promised not to repeat the crime in future.
