In 2022, the maverick director Karthik Subbaraj announced 'Jigarthanda Double X,' a sequel to his 2014 action spectacle of the same name. The upcoming film stars the dynamic actors SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in the lead roles. The official teaser of Jigarthanda Double X landed on the internet today.

Jigarthanda Double X is going to be a period western action entertainer set in 1975. Like the first part, the story is all about a filmmaker played by SJ Suryah and a gangster played by Raghava Lawrence teaming up to make a movie. The 2.5-minute video opens with brilliant cuts where the roll camera, sound and action commands on a film set are matched with breathtaking stunt blocks.
