Director Venkat Prabhu is known for his unusual casting. He is the one who cast Thala Ajith in a completely negative role in 'Mankatha' and also gave a character with negative shades to Arjun in the same film. He has also made actors Jayaram play a villain in his 'Saroja'. His 'Biriyani' paved way for the comeback of 90s hero Ramki in a role that was used to diver the attention of the audience towards who will be the real villain.
Now it has been revealed that in his upcoming film 'Party' whose shooting is going on in Fiji islands, actor Shaam is acting as a smart and stylish gangster. Shaam will be a strong addition to the already stellar cast of 'Party' that includes 'Mirchi' Siva, Jai, Kayal Chandran, Nivetha Pethuraj, Regina Cassandra, Sanchitha Shetty, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan and Sampath among others.
Shaam will be playing the role of a gangster who creates problems to the lead characters in Fiji. However as it is the case in Venkat Prabhu films. the question of whether he plays a positive role or negative is retained as a suspense.
Whatever be the character, Shaam strongly believes that 'Party' will bring the much needed change in his acting career.
'Party' is being produced by T.Siva under his Amma Creations banner.
