Icon star Allu Arjun’s ambitious theatre venture Allu Cinemas was formally inaugurated on Thursday, March 12, by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The multiplex is set to become a major landmark for movie lovers as it houses the city’s first Dolby Cinema and also features India’s largest Dolby Cinema screen.

The theatre is expected to commence operations with the screening of two highly anticipated films — Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Ustaad Bhagat Singh, creating immediate excitement among cinema audiences.

Speaking at the launch event, Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude to the Telangana government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for supporting the film industry.

“Firstly, I would like to thank honorable Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu for gracing the event and launching Allu Cinemas. I extend my gratitude to the Telangana government for supporting the film industry. We wanted to raise the bar of the entertainment industry with Allu Cinemas,” he said.

The actor emphasized that the project was driven purely by passion rather than business interests.

“For us, Allu Cinemas is a passion project, not a real estate venture. We wanted to give back something to the industry after taking so much from it,” he stated.

Allu Arjun also praised his father, legendary producer Allu Aravind, for his pioneering contributions to Indian cinema and technological advancements in the Telugu film industry.

“Allu Aravind is a legend who proved that Indian cinema can collect Rs. 100 crores in the home territory with Aamir Khan’s Ghajini. He has always been a pioneer in technology, and not many people know about it,” Allu Arjun said.

Recalling some of the innovations brought by his father, he added that Allu Aravind played a crucial role in introducing modern sound systems and digital filmmaking in Telugu cinema.

“When stereo sound dominated the industry, he introduced Surround 5.1 with Master. My father is the key reason movies changed from film format to digital format. He is not just my father, but the father of the digital era in Telugu cinema. Aha is the first Telugu OTT platform. He always strives to integrate modern technology into cinema. I hope we all make him proud,” Allu Arjun concluded.

With world-class technology and a strong cinematic vision behind it, Allu Cinemas aims to deliver a premium movie-watching experience and could become a major hub for film lovers in Hyderabad.
