Santhanam in Talks for Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ After Confirming Role in Simbu’s ‘STR 49’

Actor Santhanam, who has predominantly taken on lead roles in recent years, has made a rare exception by returning to a supporting comedy role in Simbu’s upcoming film STR 49. His most recent film as a lead, DD Next Level, received a lukewarm response at the box office.

However, in a recent interview, he revealed that his decision to take up a comedy role again was solely because of Simbu. “I can’t do comedy in every film like before; I agreed to this one only for Simbu,” he stated.
