Sanoj Mishra Who Announced Film With Monalisa Arrested!

Director Sanoj Mishra has been arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with a rape case. The incident has drawn significant attention, as Sanoj Mishra recently made headlines by offering a film role to Monalisa, a young girl who went viral on social media for selling beads and Rudraksha malas at the Maha Kumbh Mela.

A young woman from Jhansi has alleged that Mishra lured her with promises of a film role, only to physically and sexually assault her later. The victim stated that she first connected with the director through TikTok and Instagram in 2020.

The situation escalated in June 2021 when Mishra reportedly called her to Jhansi railway station, threatening suicide if she did not meet him. The next day, he allegedly repeated the threat, and when she eventually met him, he took her to a resort where he reportedly drugged and assaulted her. The victim also claimed that he took indecent photos and videos and threatened to release them if she did not comply with his demands. She alleged that the abuse continued even after she moved to Mumbai with him on the promise of film opportunities.

Following her complaint, the police initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of the director. Earlier, Sanoj Mishra announced The Diary of Manipur with Monalisa.
