Model-turned-activist Rehana Fathima is in soup after she recently posted a video clip in which her minor children are seen painting on her semi-nude body. Needless to say, it's an offence to do such things with children.

The controversial activist, who in 2018 rose to prominence after trying to "defile" the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, has been booked under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act and the Information Technology Act.

Since she has posted sexually explicit content, her offence is reported to be non-bailable.

What did Fathima aim to achieve by posting the video? She wanted to prove that "women should be open about sex and their bodies", given that sex and nudity are "taboo" in our society. She opined that "vaccination against fake perceptions about women’s body as well as sexuality should start at home”.
