Ram Charan Marks 18 Years in Cinema with Intense New Look from Peddi

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan, who has completed 18 remarkable years in the film industry, is all set to take on one of the most ambitious roles of his career in the much-awaited Pan-India project Peddi. Directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, the film is shaping up as a raw, emotional drama rooted in a rugged rural backdrop.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and prestigiously presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi is being mounted on a grand scale. IVY Entertainment has also joined as co-presenter and co-producer, further adding to the film’s scale and reach.

To mark Charan’s 18th anniversary since his sensational debut in Chirutha, the makers unveiled a striking poster of the star. Featuring him in a gritty avatar, the poster showcases Charan standing on a railway track with a backpack on his shoulder and a beedi in hand, exuding raw intensity. His rugged beard, fierce eyes, and earthy styling reflect the unpolished, mass appeal of the story.

Interestingly, this is just one of several looks Charan will sport in the film. Each appearance reportedly mirrors a different emotional layer of the narrative. Known for his commitment, the actor has undergone physical transformations, extensive training, and deep character preparation to do justice to the role.

Adding to the grandeur, Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman is scoring the music, with the film’s first single set to release soon.

The shoot is progressing at a brisk pace, with Ram Charan and the lead cast actively participating in production. Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside powerhouse performers Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma in key roles.

The technical team includes top names—cinematography by R. Rathnavelu and editing by National Award-winner Navin Nooli—ensuring that Peddi will be a cinematic experience of the highest order.
