Prabhu Deva's next film directed by Anbu kick-started with a Poja today and the pictures of the same have gone viral on social media platforms. The film marks Prabhu Deva's 58th film and Vani Bhojan was roped in to play the female lead in this film.

Directed by Anbu and produced by S Ambeth Kumar of Olympia Movies, Rekla has music by Ghibran. The motion poster of this film was released in January by actor Arya. The film kick-started with Poojai today and the production house took to its official Twitter account to share the pictures of the same. Acclaimed director Mysskin was also present during the ceremony. Vaani wore a golden saree while Prabhu deva chose a casual outfit.

The shooting of the film is set to happen in Chennai, Pudukottai, Madurai, Kumbakonam and Goa. The film is set against the backdrops of both a village and a city and is expected to revolve around a guy who comes to the city from a village. What happens next is the story of Rekla.
