Nayanthara will be playing the lead role in the horror flick 'Kolaiyuthir Kaalam' directed by Chakri Toleti. The film marks the debut of music director Yuvan Shankar Raja as a producer.

Recently it was reported that Tamannah will be playing the lead roles in the Hindi remake of 'Kolaiyuthri Kaalam' and her 'Devi' co-star Prabhu Deva will play the lead villain in the Bollywood version. .

So the question that immediately strikes our mind is that who will play Prabhu Deva's character in the Tamil version? Well there are rumours doing rounds that Prabhu Deva himself will play the role in the Tamil version also as he is equally popular in all the South Indian film industries as well as Bollywood.

It is to be noted that Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara were previously in a relationship. At the peak of her film career, Nayanthara announced that she will be quitting films as she had decided to enter wedlock with Prabhu Deva.

But the relationship was called off for reasons known to them and Nayanthara made a stunning comeback in Kollywood after eleven months and remains a the top most heroine.

Nayan acted as the female lead with Vijay in 'Villu' directed by Prabhu Deva and they have not acted together so far.
