Police arrest Bigg Boss Telugu fame Sarayu

Sarayu, known for her YouTube videos, appeared on Bigg Boss Telugu 5 last year. She was one of the earliest contestants to be evicted from the house. Once she was back from the reality show, Sarayu went back to doing what she knows best – putting out entertainment videos on the Internet.

One such video, made early last year, has landed her in trouble. As per reports, she is accused of making an “offensive” video hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. C Ashok, the Sircilla district Vishwa Hindu Parishad president, took note of the same and lodged a police complaint against Sarayu for the “derogatory” content in one of her short films.

After the case was transferred to the Banjara Hills police station in Hyderabad, the police took cognizance of the issue and arrested Sarayu on Monday night. 

As per reports, Sarayu was seen singing ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriya’ after reporting consuming alcohol in the controversial video. 

Meanwhile, visuals from the arrest are doing the rounds in the media. Pics of Sarayu being picked up by the police have surfaced on the Internet.
