Ranga is Back! When is ‘Aavesham 2’ Releasing? Fahadh Faasil Drops a Massive Update!

The movie ‘Aavesham’, which sent shockwaves not just through Malayalam cinema but across South India in 2024, was a sensation. Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Fahadh Faasil truly lived the character of ‘Rangan’, leading the film to break massive records in both box office collections and critical acclaim.

Now, Fahadh Faasil has finally shared an official update regarding the long-awaited sequel, ‘Aavesham 2’.

Speaking at a recent public event, Fahadh Faasil confirmed that a second part of ‘Aavesham’ is definitely in the works. He stated:

“Everywhere I go, the only question people ask is when ‘Aavesham 2’ is coming. There will definitely be a next part for the film. We expect it to hit the screens in 2027 or 2028.”

Currently, director Jithu Madhavan is busy helming Suriya’s 47th film (Suriya 47). It appears he will only begin work on ‘Aavesham 2’ after completing this big-budget project. Similarly, Fahadh Faasil has a packed lineup of films, meaning fans will have to wait a few more years for the return of Rangan.

Before ‘Aavesham 2’, Fahadh Faasil will be seen alongside legends Mammootty and Mohanlal in the movie ‘Patriot’, scheduled for release on April 23, 2026. Notably, Fahadh plays the antagonist in this film.
