Pawan Kalyan has condemned the incident where private ambulance drivers demanded a huge sum of money from a poor man who was looking to shift his son’s dead body from Tirupati to his hometown earlier this week. The incident happened at the Sri Venkateswara Ramnarayan Ruia Government General (RUIA) hospital. The poor father had to depend on private drivers because the mortuary vans at the hospital have been defunct.
Jana Sena Party supremo Pawan Kalyan has raised the issue and asked relevant questions of the AP government. “The pitiable incident is a matter of shame. The father had to carry his son’s body on a two-wheeler for 90 kms. My deepest condolences to him. This is not the first instance of neglect reported about the hospital,” Pawan said, recalling the incident of thirty patients dying after oxygen supply was disrupted at the Ruia Government Hospital in May last year.
In other news, Konidela Nagababu has spoken out against the YCP government for not doing what is due for the benefit of the police department. “Those who are taking care of law and order have been given a raw deal. They are being neglected in terms of the timely payment of salaries,” he added.
