A person from Kalyan, Mumbai who had tested positive for the coronavirus has travelled to Solapur by train to attend a wedding. A special team has been setup to track people who came in contact with the patient. The person is now admitted to Kasurba hospital.
During his travel, it has been estimated by health officials that he might have come in contact with nearly 1,000 people and search operations are in full swing, with people tracked so far not displaying any symptoms. There have been three Coronavirus positive patients so far from Kalyan.
As per reports, the Kalyan resident had reached Mumbai from the United States of America on March 6 and traveled in a taxi to Kalyan, and then took the Hutatma Express to Solapur for attending a relative’s wedding. KDMC has issued a letter to the district collectors of Solapur and Pune with the patient’s travel history and instructions have been given to authorities to track down people who might have come in contact with him. His wife and daughter have also tested Coronavirus positive.
