Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam was admitted to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai earlier today. it was reported that he had tested positive for COVID 19 and is under observation. However official sources have now stated that the test results have shown a negative result and he is doing well right now. The main reason for his isolation from family is because there are old people above age 90 in his household.
Mani Ratnam a couple of days earlier had attended the funeral of his close friend actor director Pratap Pothen. On July 8th grand audio launch of his dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' was conducted at a mall in Chennai.
