Actor Ajith Kumar, who was recently honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award, gave a rare and heartfelt interview to an English media outlet shortly after receiving the award. In his statement, he condemned the recent violent attack in the Behalgam region and extended his deepest sympathies to the affected families.
“I strongly condemn the attack,” Ajith said. “I believe the government is doing everything it can. My prayers are with those who have suffered. I sincerely hope such incidents never happen again.”
Ajith emphasized the need for compassion, unity, and mutual respect in society. “We must learn to understand one another and behave with dignity,” he urged. “Let us set aside our differences and strive to live as one united society.”
The actor also spoke with admiration for the Indian Armed Forces. “I met several army personnel. It’s because of their sacrifice and service that we are able to sleep in peace. I pray for their well-being and that of their families.”
In a powerful closing message, Ajith appealed for social harmony:
“We must respect every religion, every caste. At the very least, we should stop fighting among ourselves.”
Ajith’s emotionally charged interview has sparked widespread discussion and praise, with many lauding his sincerity and timely call for unity.
